Real telehealth with a real physician. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you start your free screening to the day your first shipment arrives, and everything that happens after.
5 minutes. No charge. No commitment.
Complete a secure online medical intake. We ask about your medical history, current medications, goals, and specific condition (weight loss, ED, hair loss, longevity, etc.). Based on your responses, we confirm whether you're likely a candidate for the treatment you're interested in — or recommend a different approach if appropriate.
Typically within 24–72 hours of your screening.
You meet your physician — a board-certified internal medicine MD — over secure HIPAA-compliant video. Typical consult length is 15–25 minutes. Your physician reviews your history, answers your questions, and develops a treatment plan together with you. This isn't a questionnaire review or a "chart audit" — you actually meet the person writing your prescription.
2–5 business days in discreet packaging.
Your physician writes a prescription tailored to your situation — custom-compounded dosing where appropriate (GLP-1 titration, topical skincare combos, sublingual troches), or commercial medications from a retail pharmacy. Everything ships in unbranded, temperature-controlled packaging where needed. Sharps containers and injection supplies included for injectable medications.
Unlimited physician messaging. Monthly check-ins. Dose adjustments as needed.
Your subscription includes unlimited asynchronous messaging directly with your physician. Need a dose adjustment? Message us. Have side effects? Message us. Want to switch from semaglutide to tirzepatide? Message us. Monthly physician check-ins keep your regimen optimized. Follow-up labs (for longevity protocols and where clinically indicated) are ordered and reviewed through the same workflow.
Most questionnaire-based telehealth platforms let you "skip" the live visit entirely. That's faster, but it also means no one actually meets you. We require a live video visit on the first prescription and for any major change (dose jump, medication switch, new product). It's modestly more friction. It's also real medicine.
Every YourMD physician is a board-certified internal medicine MD. That training specifically emphasizes systems-level thinking — recognizing that a weight change might be thyroid, that an ED symptom might be a blood pressure drug, that a headache might be the medication you started three weeks ago. NPs and PAs are excellent clinicians, but their training is structured differently. We think internal medicine training matters for the range of care we offer.
Commercial GLP-1s (Wegovy, Zepbound) come in fixed dose tiers. For many patients, the next step up is too much and holding at the current dose isn't quite enough. Compounded multi-dose vials let your physician prescribe any dose your clinical situation actually calls for — 0.3 mg, 0.75 mg, 1.25 mg semaglutide; or 8.5 mg tirzepatide. This dose precision is one of the main practical reasons patients switch to YourMD from questionnaire platforms.
Your care is documented in a real electronic health record with SOAP notes, encounter history, prescription tracking, and tamper-evident audit logs. If you ever need to transfer care to another physician or request records, we have them in standard medical format.
We don't prescribe controlled substances. No opioids, no stimulants, no benzodiazepines. This is a deliberate practice design: it keeps our compliance posture clean, our audit trail simple, and our focus on conditions where evidence-based care shines. For controlled substance needs, you'll need an in-person physician.
