Choosing telehealth
YourMD Telehealth in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Wisconsin
This guide is published by YourMD about choosing care and using its services. It is not an independent ranking of telehealth companies.
YourMD Telehealth currently serves adults age 18 and older who are physically in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, or Wisconsin at the time of their visit. Nationwide service is a future goal, not current availability. Appointment timing and treatment depend on clinician availability and assessment.
One four-state service, with a clear location requirement
You can start from Nevada, Washington, Oregon, or Wisconsin, but your actual location during the appointment matters. A home address in a supported state is not enough if you will be somewhere else when the visit takes place. Tell the practice your current location during intake and notify it if your plans change.
For example, a Washington resident visiting a state outside this launch area should not assume that their usual YourMD appointment can proceed remotely. Check with the practice before booking or traveling. YourMD plans to expand responsibly as it develops this initial launch; it does not currently advertise nationwide care.
Meet the physician before you begin
Dr. Teja V. Surapaneni's YourMD profile brings together his biography, internal medicine board certification, education, hospital affiliations, and common visit reasons. You can also read patient reviews on his Zocdoc profile. Credentials and patient experience are different kinds of information; consider both alongside whether the service fits your needs.
What can you ask YourMD about?
The published physician profile lists concerns such as urinary symptoms, respiratory symptoms, rashes, prescription refills, diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol management. The treatment catalog also describes weight management, men's health, hair restoration, dermatology, and longevity programs. A listed visit reason means you can request evaluation; it does not mean every case can be treated remotely.
A clinician decides whether a remote visit is appropriate and whether testing, an in-person examination, or another service is needed. YourMD does not provide emergency care or prescribe controlled substances. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 rather than waiting for an online appointment.
Prepare for a useful first conversation
- Write down your main concern and the questions you want answered.
- Have your medication and allergy information ready, along with relevant records you already have.
- Choose a private setting and check that your device and connection work.
- Confirm your location, visit format, and price before the appointment.
- Ask how you will receive your visit summary and follow-up instructions.
These preparation steps are consistent with HHS guidance for a telehealth visit. Do not conduct your appointment while driving.
What happens after you start?
Begin with the YourMD health screening, then follow the account and identity-verification steps. Review the available visit or program options and applicable consents. On-demand care depends on an available clinician; starting intake does not reserve an immediate appointment. Scheduled and asynchronous options depend on availability and clinical suitability.
The care guide collects eligibility, pricing distinctions, and next steps in one place. Use it alongside the selected plan's details before enrolling. If you need help choosing a pathway, contact YourMD support.
